Hey, I myself am hoping to give modelling a go. I was wondering what people thought of places like Digital Tutors and the like. Do they seem like a good place to at least pick up the basis? Cheers, Scott (didn't want to start a new thread)
(Grammar policing here: "better" not "more better") Right now it feels like we're only moving the joints closest to the body and not extending the end digits when they reach for new ground. Perhaps this will overall help it feel less stiff with the crabs. And what is the purpose of this animation exactly?
Your work is so great, animation the over all is so awesom You can check the animation is the way forward in digital marketing, if you want your business to get ahead, you should try it out as soon as possible. visit their site http://splurj.com/animation/
the one item on your list i would watch out for is Western Digital Green 2TB WD20EARS $99.00 (possibly a solid state drive aswel) i think the black WD drives are faster? http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=210_344&products_id=13660
I'm way too cheap for these things. I'll just get an old HP TX series off ebay and stick windows 8, and some nice graphics apps on it. The Wacom digitizers built into them aren't the greatest but they are decent for sketching around, and the pens are pressure sensitive but not great.
Wow, I thought they pretty much just made barbie games (from my impression when they visited Dare to be Digital). Glad to be proved wrong, they make some cool games and the videos make me want to work there :D Looks like a really good studio.
@Doodlok Yeah, retail really wasn't suited to my personality at all. I studied at Falmouth University, Digital Animation and VFX... although weirdly, I came out as a character artist rather than an animator (I went in fully expecting to still want to be an animator at the end of it).
I bought a subscription to Sketchbook Pro it has alot of the features this Ps tool has. I love Sketchbook in conjunction with Photoshop you have all you need for digital tools; one just has to learn them if you don't know, that boat I'm not in, whew :)
I feel extremely lucky, `cos I had the pleasure to work on this trailer. although I'm a really small cog in the Digic machine, I'm very happy with the result, so thanks in the name of the team :) . This is the coolest thing I`ve worked on so far :) Cheers : Rota
@ marlfox: thanks, studying Hogarth was really helpful with torso twists Sorry about the low quality of the pictures I don't have a proper scanner just my camera. I will bump up the levels and contrast next time. I'll upload a color study, digitally, soon.
