It looks like the mesh is being pushed towards the same direction, even from the underside. UV's and Map plox!

But do they get the resources ;-). It Seems like the 3dsmax team is trying hard but Autodesk pushes Maya a lot more.

Those grooves in the handle, are they just verts pushed in or did you do a boolen with a rounded object set inside?
