Looking good :+1: I think with the final asset, some of the forms of the sculpt got lost, in particular with the head. This probably in part due to the different lighting/ reflections between the matcap highpoly render and final render. It's up to you (or how you intend to render) to what extend you paint highlights into…
definitely love how this is coming out man, good job. right now i'm not seeing anything that looks bad or could use tweaking that you haven't already mentioned before. well, except maybe tone down the light from the car a bit. not too much. and give it a slight color variation of yellow/orange. very slight, just a tint.
I think this character-Jacqueline Celestia is your strongest piece. I think visually that character should be on the left, instead of the night elf female. The night elf is still a solid piece for sure. Also, the first image with the k9 commando where the light hits the hair, it looks a little blurry. Might be your normal…
If it were only that simple. You see the IR sensor they use is in the photo chip of your camera. The only way to block the IR is to get an IR filter or cover you camera, thus losing your ability to use it. An IR filter might work, but you have to be sure you get the right one so you filter the right light waves.
A response! Thanks Joseph for taking the time out to offer some advice. I have been trying to focus on the lighting and shapes, but it still will take more work. I might try to do a painting earlier in the night while my eyes are still fresh. The eye strain tends to get a bit extreme later at night cause I've been working…
Wow! Looking pretty nice. More snow on the plane! Maybe a smoldering fire in the distant background? What about setting it at night or early early morning? If the treeline had some variation or decreased scale as it fades off that would be great too. As far as the sky what about playing with some northern lights action?…
damn that's cool man. only thing that stands out (or doesn't) is how hard it is to tell the cloth parts apart, slight upping of contrast between them might be handy. It might just be the strong, light background making it a little harder to tell apart tho. and those paints look awsome too dude, really hope you flesh out…
Top Notch Adam. Might be cool to see some slime or a green or blue light coming from inside that door. I think that might give you a sinking feeling like whatever that tentacle is connected to is pretty messed up. Also considering how much motion blur there is on that hind right leg you would think it would be sliding and…
Definitely s step in the right direction, @yodude87 :) One thing that still jumps out is that the areas in the garage where the light is hitting the floor directly need to be much brighter and intense. So turning up your main light somewhat should sort that out. However, that might make the outdoor area far too intense as…
SaferDan is right - However, don't get into the mindset that a spec map is strictly black or white. that's not the way professionals usually make a spec map to be. Professionals will add different "tinges" and "hints" of color to their spec maps to make the light behave more interestingly when light reflects off certain…
