http://docs.cryengine.com/display/SDKDOC3/Normal+map+baking+with+xNormal yea, but I can't find the tool anywhere and the version of xnormal it works with isn't available on the site of xnormal. Guess I 'll continue my quest on the crydev forums
Thank you, I appreciate that! I always feel like I'm working against a skill deficit in my early pipeline (concept and modeling), but the only way to improve it is through continued practice. Sometimes it is nice to finish a project though!
starting with a valid cause doesn't change the fact that it's continued without one. and let's bring up the fact that now, 3 people in birmingham are dead, 3 people who were trying to defend their property, got run down by a car.
Looks really cool man. I'd love to see this in a finished state. In particular I like the look of the water shader and the hanging chinese lights going between the buildings, keep at it dude! Continue throwing more shapes/forms and details in there :)
Thanks guys, hopefully I won't disappoint :) Update! I've got the body and some stuff blocked in. Still gotta do his coat and gun w/ holster but I'm at a good point to get some feedback before continuing
In addition to some color variation, play with some edge highlights, as well as continuing some cracks across edges to help get rid of the boxiness. Did a quick paintover (though I didn't touch on the color variation, moss, etc).
concepts not the most pleasing design, but there's not much we can do about that if you're sticking to it. Just continue blocking out, not much I think I can say at the moment, except stop rendering out super dark images.
What I give him a couple bonus points for is actually grabbing the mic away from her. I agree with him losing points for starting the hate in the first place. The country loses 100 points for allowing inbreeding to continue.
Starting with Character Creator to get the musculature and do a lot of the initial face shaping using extreme morphs and baking and then continuing to morph further. Repeated the steps over and over to get the proper front of the face/snout and eye shape correct.
Sometimes art tests are suppose to be personal, do they allow your WIP to be posted on forums? I would be certain before you continue. The model looks a tad wide from that perspective, but it could be my eyes fooling me, idk.
