I highly recommend to look into some modding community or maybe if you find a group of friends with varied skills/interest you can make a student project. You'll learn practical skills that way, plus have a lot of fun and end up with something greater to show than just solo portfolio work.
This is some fantastic work so far! I'd also add some bookbags/backpacks so we can see more of an identity of some of the students, some of them may have left them there in a panic or something like that. I really like how this is coming out so far though, excellent work.
One question I ask my students who complain about lack of crits. Do you crit other peoples work? (Invariably the answer has almost always been "no".) This is a community. And when people remember your awesome crit from a piece they were making, they are probably more likely to return the favour.
Haha indeed. That's why i tell people that it basically gave me the time and facilitated my own learning.. Sounds bad but i found that the majority of students in my year and game art pathway, used to just teach themselves throughout the 3 years. I look forward to seeing her plod along :)
So here is my second Silouhette :) Broken down to analize each different part of the puppet. So I ticked which ones have been most liked by other students and teachers. From this point I will concept a few ideas, and make up colour pallet etc Please crit :) if any advice
This is the reason why we get so many vulture studios here preying on the naive and desperate. They pick up the kids just out of college, work them on practically nothing until they're burned out and then replace them with the next batch of bright eyed students. The black couch thing is kind of an apt analogy.
... Why bashing on the guy from Vietnam offering to pay while there are so many Rev-Share projects around ? He also said it's for students and like. If you're too good for low pay, move along.. I hope you don't walk into CostCo and demand to be paid $50/hr doing cashier's work.
Hah cool, so it's you that have made some of those 3d renders that our 3dteacher(Marcus) used in one of his power point presentation. Funny to find another skövde student here on PC :) That last mountain study is awesome and i really liked the boy with those big power gloves
Robert Marrs university have E-Sports Scholarship programme :) eSports Explosion http://espn.go.com/video/clip?id=12097064 Forgive my ignorance but I am not familiar with the system in the USA, what does Scholarship for athletes bring to the Universities? is it bums on seats at stadiums or is there an ulterior reason?…
Projects would be things I work on in a group setting. My school has something pretty cool called "Game Wizards", which is essentially a student production team. We make games. And so, work I do with them would be put in the "Projects" area. Which, to me, is really relevant, because it's experience.
