Not focusing very well on anything or solving problems very well. Doodling to keep busy. So, still a bit (a lot) of a hack. Will be back on track soon.
yeah because the shader/viewport doesn't use the same tangentbase as the renderer in max does, a shader like the one from 3pointstudios can solve this issue
Well, wouldn't ya know it, I've been pulled off this and on to something else... we still need to solve this, just not right away. If that helps any...
when importing obj in maya , open the options window for "import", and turn off "create multiple objects" , i guess this should solve it but not sure :D
