Simply put, you're asking a VERY engine specific question. Some engines handle Texture fetching better than others. Some engines handle drawcalls better than others. Ah got it. I was exporting at home from Max 9, I'm at work now and just did a quick test. There's an "export maps" checkbox that I must have ignored before, thinking it would actually move my bmp's over or something. Anyway, checking that box, adds the map_Kd line to the MTL file. It looks the exact same way in Modo's real time opengl shader, xnormals preview renderer, and in Torque3D which is just a straight up direct X 9 game engine (that's what the screen shot is from). hehhe right, the old "answering unresolved issues by opening more unresolved issues" gamble. they could have done a season straight of "resolution" type episodes and it's doubtful they really would have been able to push through it all. an important lesson for tv writing, honestly. i think x-files expected to last… -
