Mypeople- Yeah lower threshold should always be lower than upper. that is strange, not sure why it keeps reseting itself to that value. The only reason I can think of is there may be a Wacom process running while you edit the .dat, that usually borks the changes...are you editing manually? Try using the Pressure Curve Tool… -

looks ace uv them textures wire frames screen shots? people like those so my crits is it looks a few primitives. I would put in some edges horizontal and distort the shapes more wonky cartoony edit: I edited cause I wrote "look ace" like i was calling you ace in a negative way lol -

Re: Maya hard edges not working...
Try Edit Polygons>Normals>Set To Face. Then Edit Polygons>Normals>Soften/Harden and select the faces you want to be soft, type in 180 and hit apply. Then select the edges you want to be hard and type in 0 and hit apply. If you ever have any questions feel free to AIM me. I'd be more than happy to troubleshoot anything.
