You can never have too many crates and barrels!! These were done quickly ( quick for me. LOL) in about 4 hours total, start to finish for all 3, for a game I'm doing with friends. Textures are 256x256 for each. Images are huge! I have to go back and resize them definitely.
same here. I'm trying to quickly go through the first one right now. Hopefully I'll understand most of the story. I wanted to get LA Noire at the same time but I just couldn't afford it. :( I've also got some Mass Effect 2 DLC to get through.
Do you mean the process of making a texture tile, or actually laying out the tiles? You could always select the texture in a document, then go to edit>define pattern. Then right click a layer and go to blending options >patterns you can very quickly and non-destructively add and tile textures on layers.
@CJE Thanks, I just quickly blocked out the bust, didn't worry much about the muscles... But thanks for the heads up, I almost forgot about the chest area which is connecting the shoulder muscle... Here I think I made it more bulky and fixed the muscle part... I guess...
Blender needs to work on it's ease of use - our studio has quickly adopted 3D Coat for 3d painting despite Blender having the same features. We aren't anti-open source, we use SVN for our revision control system. game studios are pro whatever gets the job done.
Alright so I've just started sculpting, things should start progressing quickly. This while be my first time in Zbrush doing something other than a character, and more specifically doing high res detail to bake into the low res model. Any thoughts on the direction I'm taking for broken cement?
I almost updated to them a few days ago but didn't have the time. I use EVGA's Precision tool to keep my fans at 85% though, so I would have been ok. Hopefully nVidia sorts this out quickly, as I heard the drivers were quite good otherwise.
Online fps games are becoming increasingly boring to me. Modern Warfare 1 was a blast, World at War was fun enough, Modern Warfare 2 got old pretty quickly. Halo Reach was a sidenote (i played it like twice) and Team Fortress 2 is falling to the wayside as well. That's just me, though.
Same here--had to look it up too. As awesome as Peter Lorre is, you'll have a hard time using a lot of older classics around here..it quickly kills the game. It does make me want to check out that film though. It is maybe time to start with quotes from a new/different film?
It seems like you're subdividing up and adding detail too quickly which gives the wrinkles and folds a drawn on look instead of being incorporated more naturally. The proportions are good, but it's lacking the curves of the body. You can try watching something like this https://gumroad.com/grassetti to give you a better…
