Um... Why don't you select it and find out? :) I think we need a little more information before we can give an answer. What's the name of the node? A screenshot may help too. For me the nodes are the same color as the objects wireframe.
Haha yeh, didn't even think about that! Does anybody know why my wireframe isn't showing up properly on some of my girls meshes. Her dungarees show up fine but nothing else does. Its just little dots :/
Thanks nordahl154! I cut down the texture to 1024 and it seems to hold up nice,I always seem to make textures too big:\ also here is a better wireframe Which edges were you referring to? was it the area with the indent near the butt stock?
really nice looking model! I'm impressed by the amount of detail and that you modelled the chambering mechanisms at the back. Do you have any wireframe renders of it? I'm working on the same weapon myself and I'm hoping I can make it as cool looking as yours.
Shaded only Wireframe on Shaded Trying to sharpen the edges with smooth shade helped a lot in making sure the typology is clean and no overlapping vertex. It really helped in practicing on how to clean up after increasing edges. Maya file link > https://goo.gl/q1YXkJ
Got the low-poly done, it's about 16k tris right now. Here are some screenshots of the normal/ao bake and wireframes taken in marmoset toolbag. I still need to do some tweaking and cleanup but for a first pass I'm fairly happy with the bake.
yes the 200k model is for animation... and than the skinweights gets transfered to the 1mio one... but thats not a task for a one man army... we have a rigging department... could you post a wireframe image of the 18k model.? it shoud look ok with displacement if done right...
yeah there is ways to build your geometry with far fewer polys same shading and silhouette just look at the wireframes of everyone elses 3d models that you can find all over this forum. to answer your question: "yes" work on your lowpoly workflow :)
Excellent work Oskar! It seems your internship was very productive. My favorite has to be 'The Eldritch Horror' very cool looking. Do you by any chance still have access to these models? I kind of wanted to see the wireframes and textures of the elementals too.
Finally I can spin around the model on my own and find all the texture seams and baking errors, mowahahaha... on a more serious note though, the viewer dosnt do it justice, but its cool to see the wireframes and all textures isolated. :) thank for sharing!
