Its growing in use... I think its highly dependent on the studio whether or not they will have or allow Modo in house. At the top of my head... Gearbox, Id Soft, Valve... have/use some Modo. Would be interesting to see a larger list of places.
Another question: I parented all the armor components to the base skeleton, then soft-bind the body to the skeleton. Is there a way to make rigid components remain rigid on a mesh bind? Like, have the armor bind along with the body to the skeleton, but keep the armor rigid?
Your geometry seems ok. Your texture could use some work. - Add grunge, dirt etc. - Add soft edges (Make some nice bakes if you have a high poly) - Add a good specular map. Hope this helps
The model itself looks pretty great! Good design and has a very real feel. You have to remember though that when in a game, edges will get very jagged and your textures will become even more noisy. Always accommodate with soft edges.
It's a good start but the forms feel pretty soft. Especially the blade. It looks more like stone than metal. I wouldn't change it now though, just keep it in mind for your next project. The materials could use some work as well.
I'm addicted to caffeine, when I don't drink it I get really bad head aches and I crave it all day, stopped drinking soda, so now I've been addicted to hot chocolate, (chocolate has some caffeine in it).
Iam.And it is intense indeed, enjoyed it.Though having realized there's only 1 cow on the barn,It pretty much for me gave away where the whole thing leads up to. And also I was kind of expecting Sofia to pop out of the locked door :D
Really digging the hair bud but the pores are adding to much noise to the face. Maybe you could try Killaball's suggestion about dropping the pores from the normal OR you could incorporate some soft smooth areas on the face for the view to rest their eyes on.
Lookin sweet! One thing I'd like to point out is that his legs seem relatively soft compared to the rest of his body, like not as toned and stringy. Feel like a bit more muscular/tendon detail around there would look cool.
love this guy nice stuff! for crits the sculpt outside of the head, which is awesome, seems to lack a little definition, it feels very soft, which im sure is intentional, but areas like the joints could use some harder points i think.
