just came across this gem on the interwebs: http://graphicrants.blogspot.co.uk/2013/08/specular-brdf-reference.html saving it to my HDD :D just out of curiosity, what is the term "m" used to describe? for example part of the code is: (n.m) i know it's n dot "something", just don't know what the m is.
Here is a small update on one of the car (want to finish this before friday). So far its at 1500tris (half) and 3000 tris (total). One question, since this will not have interior at all, what would be a good tri count on a simple vehicle like this? Also those are not N-gons (I detached the headlights)
There's a post on autodesk's area as well: http://area.autodesk.com/forum/autodesk-3ds-max/autodesk-3ds-max--3ds-max-design-2013/3dsmax-2013--big-issue-on-normal-maps/ by a colleague of Xoliul's.. Edit: Haha, which is actually you, r-a-n-d-o-m. I am an idiot ;-)

Parent the 'slave' object to a dummy after setting the dummys pivot to the basic axis you need - then use the wire parameters to link the rotation of the master object to the dummy, then link the slave object to the dummy. Tough to explain, but it should work - Ive used this basic technique to do something very similar…
Still I have no idea how maxscript can save it to desktop, Im trying to add /text.txt to end of line but still get error out_name = (getDirectories ((systemTools.getEnvVariable("USERPROFILE"))+"/Desktop/text.txt")) out_file = createfile out_name for curObj in (selection as array) do (format "Name:% \n" curObj.name…
The shadows and lighting in Nier:Automata were absolutely gorgeous. The gameplay: action adventure/rpg like devil may cry n darksiders but dem double jumps, anime pose freeze frame melee attacks and the use of the flying Bot familiar to float/levitate down direction-ally all particularly remind of Psychonauts!
