Are you zooming with the mouse wheel in the 2D View of Painter ? If yes, that's a bug (waiting to be fixed in our database). If you zoom by using "ALT + Right Click" it should work like in the 3D View (based on the mouse position).
EQ - God, that looks great. Small suggestion ... can you make it so when you mouse wheel over a spot to zoom in, the viewport zooms to that location instead of just towards the center? That would allow for quick inspection of models.
This is normal, if you zoom in far enough on any uv seam edge you will generally see a seam. You're zooming in like 100x farther than you would see this object in normal use, so don't worry about it.
Indeed, i imagine so, but I'm not trying to completely get rid of it. I'd implement it in a way that would let me toggle the auto perspective change so I don't have to worry about cases where I need normal orthographic camera. thanks for the effort, appreciate it. I ran the script and it seems to work ok in terms of…
Yeah, I use snap as well for this. I just wish that you could zoom in, click on the first vertex, zoom out/scroll viewport and then click the second vertex, because sometimes you just cant have both on the screen at the same time and visible. :( It's not a problem in XSI.
Sorry I was at work before so I couldnt really zoom in and take a look at the nose and the arms. You are doing awesome so far. =] My apologies again, but if you wish to read what I suggested there you are going to have to zoom in. Will wait for the update. :D
I ment as in zooming in out? Afaik you can zoom as far back as you would like as long as you tweak your near/far plane settings. Should be able to validate if the mip-levels kick in if you have a distinct difference in a given mip-level.
While I mostly agree with this sentiment, it's possible he has a really simple idea that doesn't require a lot of animating or modeling or texturing. Maybe it's a super slow zoom in on some planets for 1:45 and 15 seconds of a spaceship zooming into the screen.
Ah! Yes I could do that! To bad I want this cool zoom effect when some lens mech part move in and some moves out out while it tries to correct its depth of field and zoom ability >:I
