Impacting the world is hard. I've thought of it, but never through anything I do professionally. I guess I'm just ok with trying to stand up for what I believe in, every day. Diversity, understanding, empathy. If people like my art, that's great. I hope it fuels the imagination of the next astronaut. -

that's what's happening within the UK in case you haven't noticed. an originally pretty strong and diverse homegrown studio culture is eroded for little more reason than businessmen shopping around for the best subventions. guess what happens when some place offers them a better deal than canada does. -

I have a couple buddies who are into game design, but their true passion is writing. Their dream job would be doing story and dialogue for video games. Even more important than colour, sometimes, is material definition and diversity. I'm not sure if specularity is something you can control in polypaint, but if you can, you should definitely put some variety in there. spent some time today and fixed the grip on the axe. ALSO! i was approved at school to do a portfolio of all weapons. they said it isnt really the subject matter that they want to see diversity in, its the technique and all that. so as long as i dont hand in 5 or 6 modern guns or scifi blaster rifles, its ok.
