Yah I think I'm going to buy all the Wallworm tools they look awesome. But it actually looks like Trimble Sketchup would be way better for level design except it produces bad geometry. Is there any software that can re-mesh Sketchup models so they are more efficient?
Here's the promised jacket video. I recorded pretty much the whole process except for the stitching, creation of zippers (insert brush), pockets and the collar. Here's the final result with a modified shirt from the previous video: http://youtu.be/DMz03AN5zLQ http://youtu.be/6gvjppLSAkM http://youtu.be/l9XxVnQ4aec
Little update- not much has changed except the bits that I just mentioned. I'm planning to do her semi-stylised so I'm not going to go into details too obsessively. Don't think it'll be long until I wrap the highpoly up so crit is appreciated !
@demigodssw Thanks, I'll try my best. :) I also modeled three different rings for her, but I think I'll use only one of them. To me the first from the left is probably the best. In the first two rings, everything else is metal except the gemstone in the center.
I'm just learning modo, but it looks like a very handy and efficient tool. Why people say it's so bad for game art? Except baking tools and export? You always can export to .obj, don't you? Ofcourse, if it's just a high poly and low poly meshes.
Been a few months since I looked at this scene, finally decided to take a high res shot of it and played around with the colors. Already starting a new one so calling this done, with the exception of some minor bug fixes ofcourse, thanks for all the feedback and crits along the way!
*shrug* I say focus on the MMO market, jeeps and machine guns are the exception not the rule in MMOs. The asian market is such a focus right now that crazy stylized stuff is in demand, check out this list on MMORPG.com, each MMO needs about 2-4x the staff of a single player game.
Overmarvelous - hm, yes :/ I suppose he would. I did overlook that when designing! D: ahaha Thank you Mr. Nitewalkr. jeffro - max blockout haha. all except for the bridge. which might explain its terrible perspective T_T And here's a little painting!
Yes I do that as well, turn everything off except the HDR. Gives the best result and not any misleading info. I think its a nice start the leaves and twigs look good. The pebbles read to me like cement or mortar and not pebbles somehow. Excited for more updates!
None of these solutions worked for me. Do I need to convert my editable poly to a mesh before exporting it as an Obj? I am exporting from 3DS Max 2014 with no textures applied with the exception of the base grey material. I am also using Photoshop CC current.
