First up, here's an update! Got all the pieces in place in some form or another, but many of them are lacking secondary forms. Lots of detailing ahead. C&C welcome as always. ---- I have decided based on the feedback I have gotten that I will change the head. Update coming soon.
Did a quick transformation of the body after work. Went away from the "superhero" look towards a more marathon runner physique. This update is really nothing much (Almost more a shameful bump) merely that I wanted to hear if I'm heading in the right direction. Good? bad? right direction! (hopefully)
@AnteArt i understand what you are trying to say. Right now all i'm doing is 3 hours for 3 days for a head. At that point i ll leave that head and move to next one. i get demotivate very fast so ill keep it simple and fast. i guess around my fifth try or so you will recognize the head. i plan to work hard on this project.…
Hi smiljan66, That's some really great work, I especially love the soldier. Would you mind if I asked you a few questions? I would really appreciate it. All my questions have to do with the heads (particularly the soldier's). First, what method did you use to model it? E.g. box model, plane edge extrusion, creating a plane…
Interesting, I had to redo a head for better details (yesterday) and totally replaced the head with an entirely new mesh with better loops and just attached at my cut off point (The neck) and seemed to project the details right back on. Guess it is one of those hit or miss things(thank god for me a hit), damn I'll keep an…
thats an awesome vid willy-wilson my roomate just cracked the neck of my 1995 black les paul studio =( It was such an awesome guitar. I personally use a Peavey 5150 head and a 4 x 12 Mesa Boogie halfback cab, plus a lot of pedals like Boss compression, Line 6 DL4, Subdecay Noisebox (very cool noise oscillator pedal), Holy…
Agreed. I think it says more about the artist and where his/her head is at professionally when stuff like this happens. It's not always easy to read critiques or see paint overs but when taken into account for what they are, great things can happen. I'm really glad you stuck in there Progg, its coming out great.

Agree with the timing issues. You say you're using Maya, are you familiar with the graph editor? Messing around with curves and points might help you in getting things to move more reliably. On particular parts; the head moves too quickly while falling, the hand is held for too long. Is the final movement a spit-take?
I can read the words but the sentence makes no sense :D This is above my head I guess, have you figured out this yourself by now or are you still waiting for an answer? I´ve asked around a bit and no one here seems to know the answer. Any way you know of how to find out the answer?
