Why not? When a guy gets pulled over for a DUI, does the cop want to talk to him or his stoned mates in the back? If a cop has a problem with vehicle (whether it be a valid issue or not) the person in charge of that vehicle is the driver. Try not to be a fucking moron for no reason please.
Some things can be done in an automated way. Like blobby shaped stones/rocks, and some other simple stuff can be definitely done with automatic LOD generation, but yeah as the previous guys said, in many cases, its better to make them by hand.
Looking really good The ingame font choice looks odd tho, and the game logo texture on the tavern sign looks very misplaced, robbing the immersion totally for me atleast. Some small flowers and stones and such decor could really bring it over the edge
Rocky well I roughly sculpted (hence the messy geometry) and lazily unwrapped for more practice with Substance. Weird highlights are from me trying to put flowing water trickling between the stones, but the environment map makes it pick up some weird reflections.
Ah, yeah, you're probably right about that mate! I think I found that image when searching for oriental stone lanters or something along those lines! I guess I'll have to find a Chinese counterpart and swap it with then! Cheers for pointing it out!
Hey @US Claire Force Thanks so much! It was based on a concept from Geof Trebbs (which I forgot to add earlier :P) But in that concept it looked like stone to me, but I agree it does look odd  . Really appreciate the feedback!
On my trip for references, here what I got so far ! I always wanted to do some ruins of a temple or something deep in a forest, with trees growing inside ans through stone. I will maybe turn it in some mystical way or something !
I am really liking how this is coming. Just my .02 cents and it could be me, but the metal is reading as stone or concrete. I think your contrast is up a bit to high. Keep it up, I am loving the atmosphere in your last one.
@Amsterdam Hilton Hotel- Thanks, I'l definitely play around with that. do you think the windows could benefit from any ornate stonework on them? I have the stone bit on the top of them but I don't like how it's looking. Any suggestions?
Nice model, the hammer part though with the way you have sculpted in the damage comes off more like stone than metal. I'm nut sure if that was the look you were going for. Also the rune seems very clean compared to the rest of the model.
