Is there a plugin for 3ds max 8 that will allow you to render something with a normal map applied? Or is there already a way that I'm not aware of? If not what program can I use to get a good render with a normal map(tangent space) applied?
Hey guys i am trying to find a plugin for 3ds max 8 that it basically exports your uvw layout but in curves , so that it has maximum antialiasing and no jagginess bullshit , anyone know where to find it ?
Your problem is on modelling side. I see same huge shading gradients on your mesh too. And while normal map can theoretically counter-measure them in a perfectly "synced" workflow you would never get it looking perfectly right in actual game anyway . 8 bit normal map with compression just doesn't have enough precision for…
Not really hired, but I recently got an internship in AAA as an animator (maybe technical animator?) with this showreel as part of my education. It's gonna be 8 exciting months! https://vimeo.com/413954682
Thanks. Yeah I have , was mostly a failure and I wasnt very serious about it. Might attempt it on the weekend when I have more time. 8. NOTE: This is a fail.
Same over here, did the last 8 week, want to start with the 9th, does anybody have any idea hows the object is called? to look for some reference online.
Is this meant to be for real time? If it is then you should consider how many polygons you are using for this model. Try taking it down to around 8-10,000 from 44,000 if you can.
@StraightDraw84 Thanks! I modeled this robot. Its called ROT-8 and you can find more info here: https://www.artstation.com/artwork/nA2Re And this is how they look in-game
Same issue on my end... I'm running Photoshop CC alone (not the whole CC collection) and Window 8 on an AMD Phenom II system. Anyone have a solution yet?
