looks solid, I wonder why are there 3 big round islands on the uv layout though, looks like you need only one of them. Also you might consider removing geometry that is overalpped by another piece of geometry to save some uv space inside the big islands (at cost of higher vertex count due to new cuts) although I'm not sure…
Backup Golden rule is: 3-2-1 (at least 3 copies of your data, in at least 2 different machines, with at least one off-site copy) https://www.reddit.com/r/qnap/comments/dehngo/how_to_protect_your_data_raid_is_not_a_backup/
btw., 2-3 hours motionuilder work if it was complex, like 3 stuntmen with a lot of actions, with less complexity less time(work), if the performance was right. With every shot you need to think how to make the most of it
layout and colors are pretty good. there isn't any useless stuff and navigation is as simple as it should be. i'd change the "3 1024 maps" to "1024 diffuse, specular, normal" 3x1024 maps could be interpreted as 3 separate textures.
This stuff is impressive, i'm curious myself. And yeah mainly just for 3d doodles or preliminary work. I'd personally love a little 3d texture painting on the note 3 :3 I don't expect that to happen though.
I couldn't care less about their new MMO (right now atleast). I JUST WANT A DIABLO 3 DATE! >< I really did expect a release date announcement for Diablo 3 at this year's Blizzcon. :(
lol, this stuff looks better and higher detail than the bog standard stuff that shipped with Halo 3... Yet its an RTS. Really was let down by Halo 3's art. Great job on these, they look stunning.
Work on the texture of the luminous elements of the ceiling. The intensity of light is 0, 1, 2, 3. I check the texture at different distances. Intensity of light is 0 Intensity of light is 1 Intensity of light is 2 Intensity of light is 3
The engine for all of the Call of duty is just a modified version of the quake 3 engine, allot of the tools are still relics of the quake 3 era (anyone who has done modding or mapping for any of the CoD series will tell you that).
When I started to really get into this stuff, Unreal Tournament 3 and Doom 3. Got special/limited/something editions of both. These days, either DXHR or RAGE - some blurry textures be damned, it's gorgeous on a decent PC
