y, the price is quite an argument. but my statement was related to the content. I saw a video of one guy who used quite many bool operations and it seemed that no n-gon clean up is needed. but i cant get it how sth like this shall work fine with a reduced lp in a game
Oh man i wander how crowded its going to be. I'd imagine it's going to be pack to the brim with wannabe's all toting around their sketchbooks with their anime tracings...HEHE Im almost tempted to go just for shits n giggles to see what crap MS/NOA/DigiPen feeds to these people.
Oh sweet love! I will sure as hell get my hopes up! You know why? I didn't think Eps I n' II were a disappointment. Though this movie looks so damn nice. Hardly reflects that crappy ass poster they have out right now.
If your going to be sculpting your sword. It's best to keep your geometry in quads (4 sides polygons) Try to avoid triangles and N-gons. (Non 4 sided polygons) This will make your model much easier to sculpt and will result in much less artifacts and troubles along the way. Keep working at it.
The unwrap seams you suggest are fine! I would advise not using the default day time/night time stuff that UDK give you as your stuff will look really washed out. I learnt the hard way. Also, nice hotkey. "Shift+N to select none" as this dino is bluuue
When one talks about poly limit, it usually means triangles and not quads. Due to the math involved any geometry is converted to triangles anyway, be it quads, n-gons etc... So while technically 2 triangles are 2 polygons, it isn't relevant when talking about 3d geometry and polycount.
That a really creative way of using N-Gons to get a pretty damn good result, well done! I also just kind of assumed that it would be less of a hassle to just handle the deformation inside of Max as opposed to going through the trouble of exporting to ZBrush and then exporting it back to Max. Very useful!
Looks awesome! love the one where the tail is wrapped around the staff :) but as people mentioned, the other one is a lot easier on the eye. If you turn the empty hand down instead of palm up, it kind of looks like mantis style, which could work with the kung-fu vibe n all.
Whoa, I just realised where I recognise your avatar: dude I am a huge fan of your Youtube vids, really great to follow along to while doing work myself. So you have really earned that Wayne 'n Garth gif two times over.
Yes! I'll have to try n get his email somehow XD but I've already started modelling though, so maybe i'll probably ask if I can have permission to use it as a portfolio/showcase piece. I'm so sorry >_< , but I dont understand what this sentence means :
