I appreciate the creature designs. The variance from serious/menacing to playful shows a strong range within that segment. What I feel like is immediately missing is some sense of character related prop work. You have some on Skeech, but I'd like more. Items that prove your hard surface design, etc.
The demon on the left is my favorite, but he also seems less likely to be able to carry your guy, plus I'd actually feel bad for him stuck with that job! The one in the middle seems way more sturdy and is the kind of creature I could see carrying a heavy load all the time. The rider is awesome keep it up!
Probably someday there will be similar model with adjustable height/proportion, detachable parts for perhaps : quadraped creature etc. I'm not an animator, don't really care about how useful this mannequian actually.. However!! this is still a badass looking mechanical shit with better articulation than a figma. I can see…
tnx for the comments guys Shotgun: yeah that is great advice. For the 2faced creature i did a painting but it wasn't the intention to eventually make it into a 3d model so i completely understand that having such a design would be very limited in terms of movement . i'm definitely going to keep that in mind the next time i…
Ah right sweet cheers guys, i always thought you deleted have the model don't know why. Also if someone doesn't mind answering this, could i just use a plane to model finger nails for a low poly (creature nails so it needs to be Geo) or would only one side of it show up?
Yeah, viewing from an outside elevator platform towards a central room would work just as well. And it could just as easily be a museum, or a galactic entity's collection of amusing artifacts/creatures/whatever instead of a space prison. I just threw that out there because of the variety of styles, directions one could go…
Thanks mikebart, I actually wanted to keep this form to make sure I could properly shade such a form. Looks a bit less weiner tree then before I guess, more like a creature trapped inside a wooden thingy, or something that houses there, like a hermit. Another update, I'm ready for some solid critique:)
ds can't possibly compare with photoshop but you can pass your time very nicely if you you don't have your pc or laptop with you. plus it is a lot faster to start up :) that mafiozo has a weird eye :) but the creature looks awesome! i like how you have captured the light on the gold details.
excellent animation! the only thing i have to say is that there were a few times that characters seemed to just stop moving. when the dragon comes out to eat the goat it walks out there and turns to stone. a little bit of movement or overlapping animation would have helped bring life to the creature and make the animation…
I've always thought that dragons (and a lot of fantasy flying beasts in general) don't have enough of a projecting sternum bone, to attach the massive pectoral muscles needed to get those wings flapping properly. I think it's called a 'keel' like on a boat. Of course all these creatures are make-believe, so, meh. Just a…
