I use Notepad++ for more complex scripts, it doesn't have a MEL syntax highlighter but TCL is close enough to work. Context looks pretty good too, I keep meaning to give it a try. Very nice work, but I think your skin colour is a bit monotone. You have some reds, but the areas around the eyes can have all kinds of weird blue, purple or even green-ish colours. Not too much, but I think could help your texture. And some extra reds on the nose, perhaps? Some random small spots of sligtly darker skin… -

I use same modelling techie as in this video https://youtu.be/3rlMzsBWtPY?t=130 But instead of shrink wrap I use "data transfer" to transfer vertex normals . It works perfectly well usually . You can do a rats nest of polygons and edges, super tiny and chaotic but once normals are transferred it's perfectly ok usually .… -
