Toolbag's baker has not changed how it handles banding/dithering in a few years, so it's unlikely this is a problem with the software itself. Typically this will be a result of your high and low poly mesh topology/normals. The rule of thumb is that the closer the high and low poly surfaces are to each other, the more…
Hey there, this is going to be a pretty long response. I'm a 3D artist who has also played the cello for almost 20 years, so this post is ... extremely relevant to my interests. In terms of Polycount-specific stuff, I'd recommend embedding images in your post instead of attaching for the future. Just easier for people to…
@SnowInChina Yeah the 650D is old with a pretty crappy Canon sensor. Canon sensors are generally pretty bad compared to Sony ones, especially the old ones. I think Canon has started to use Sony sensors recently, at least in some of their cameras. Overall, the A7III is an amazingly good camera for the money. Saying that, if…

I will be doing an illustration…

How about this, load your mesh that has "correct" uvs(that match your image) apply your image, and then load up your other mesh that uses sub-d, and just bake that image down to the proper sub-d uvs. Will that work?
Hey this a question for everyone but I will use Motives portfolio site for an example (www.johanlundmark.com) How do you make it so whenever you click on a thumbnail image it will load that image in the already opened image browser window? hope that makes sense (lol)
Some images from a Modeling and Rendering tutorial I just finished. I kept the images small for the forum. You can find higher res shots here (Right Click > View Image): https://armoredcolony.com/projects/KazJvo Or if you're interested in the tutorial: https://armoredcolony.com/store/VR5y/3d-modeling-and-rendering-kitbash
This is in maya , this is what I was talking about [image below] Will be good to post wireframe image of your model so it clear if its as Eric suggest just a rendering issue or geo collapse on it self Is latest image of the object in binding pose or after some posing ?
