A node based compositor like Nuke or digital fusion I guess, dont know how that relates to gimpshop though. Claydough: Gimpshop was never that great TBH, I'd just stick with GIMP, atleast your getting the latest builds.

I have sent a Email to one of his "best friends and a huge source of inspiration" according to this article http://www.3dtotal.com/interview/247-interview-with-digital-horror-sculptor-fabrizio-bortolussi-by-3dtotal-staff-zbrush-sculpt-creature
I've been working some on digital now. I really like the 2nd composition, quite more dynamic and 'Bard-style', hitting quick and hard, relentless. Working on some shapes and values, wanting to search a color palette soon.
I´ll llve to be able to work with you on your project as character concept artist. Here´s a link to my digital portfolio. Hope you like it. https://www.dropbox.com/sh/gr25oxpia4q0p63/GOYVKsHdpu My name is Carlos Villas
It would appear you're right: Personally, I don't think Homeworld is too big a risk - but only as a non-boxed game. If you went digital and with a slightly lower budget, it'd probably do well as an established niche brand.
Well, if you put a thousand grevars on a thousand keyboards and give them an infinite amount of time, chances are they'll produce the same formation of 1's and 0's as some game and eventually prove that digital rights are null and void.
