Barret's "AsuraSpork" early concept art...
I did a bust in class recently. The Asura changed a lot (evidently, I don't play GW) before they finally took the form they are in now but whatever, this was one of Matthew Barret's first passes. I thought he looked kinda cool and had personality so I cooked him up. He's 6340 tris and has 2048 maps. -

Not a bad start! As its still a wip, the only thing I will comment on is the size of the piece of cloth around his neck. Compared to the concept, it looks a little small.. but thats an easy fix. Keep working! :) -

don't use a pose that hides design of important areas such as torso. and also, it would be a good idea to draw the whole character and not just upper half. the tutorial you're following is about creating an artwork, it's not a concept art that you'd pass over to modeler and have him work based on it. -
