Just a few shots for you guys, Regarding the texture i didn't want to make it overly grungy so i kept it pretty clean. There are a few things that are popping out to me, so i might have to quickly fix those before i move onto my next piece.
I understand. I was thinking you could hide the transitions with fake motion blur. Ribbons with swoosh textures, rotating quickly around, scaling upwards to cover the transition, then scaling down inside the model afterwards. Like the twirling effect in The Mask https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eEQomU6iFtw#t=33
I'm sure there is always be more to learn on both sides, especially with the breakneck pace of advancing tech. I was suggesting putting aside the artistic accuracy until they become technical enough to have adapted their own workflow or know enough fundamentals to be able to find the answer to a problem very quickly if…
I'd like to second all of this. "Life After People" is really helpful for this sort of thing. Also, look up pictures of the city of Pripyat -- that's the area right around the Chernobyl disaster. They've started letting people in to the area and the photographs are amazing. You'd be surprised by how quickly trees will take…
Okay thanks, makes sense now. And I will take that advice into account next time I work on a project. Here are some images of the tank, any thing you could quickly tell me to change? Need to bake and texture by the 4th. Changes which will make baking results good ect...
Bruce Lee character, quickly based out and 30 minutes of sculpting, using this to really push my anatomy sculpting (and cloth later when I add his baggy kung fu pants) Biker character work in progress, using this to really push my cloth fold sculpting abilities.
nice to see you posting talbot! Art rage is a great cheap app to mess with--it forces you to be a little looser with your paint application, which, for starting out, is a great thing! Speedpaintings will help you progress your sense of composition and color quickly--so start knocking some out!
I finished creating a sword to had to the character. Then moved on to quickly rig it and play a bit to try finding a cool pose. For now i have txo, one "action" pose and one"demoreel" pose (let's call it like that" the "demoreel" pose and the action pose (not sure about this one yet)
Goraaz: Thanks! And I agree; haikai made a good point. Ill define her eyes/eyebrows and reshape the ears (i just quickly blocked in the anatomy of them). Alexis, it was like a revelation once I rounded out the cheeks. And ty to vavavoom and urgaffel for pointing out the head/neck posture.
I'm supposing you're all talking Max right? Here's a nice tip that I use in Maya, should work the same in 3DSMax. Keyframe your materials opacity, use the timeslider as your virtal opacity slider. Set your opacity to whatever you want at that point in time, quickly and easily.
