When posting you can use the attach image function which has the piece of paper with its corner folded about two the the right of the smiley face icon.
Oh, and depending on the function that metalness uses to determine metallic reflections, it can be much more "physically correct" and also more intuitive than a specular color and intensity slider
You guys were on a whole new level! I was on the Debris team, thanks for tipping us off on the cast-to function in BP, we were stumped for quite a while :)
I like what you did with the corners. It's looking a lot better already. Must more realistic. Looks like your normals are functioning better as well.
What's the function of the room/building by the way? If you decide on that, then we can figure out what extra details can be added to the foreground in a more natural-looking manner. :)
Yeah, that's one of my favourite functions. shift for a smudge tool is great for instance. Or a lasso-fill tool where holding control temporarily switches it to erase. So lovely!
Bugo thanks for the reply. I use these methods all ready. I was just hoping that I was missing this function somewhere in Maya's interface or someone had a mel script.
i found that max material editor has the function of distorting the uv in the noise section. now i just need to get the refractive material setup and test it out.
