Crunchtime at work so not a lot of time to work on this, a Sunday here and there. I'll get there, slow 'n steady! :) Worked on the proportions a bit more and started a first smoothing to see if I got things right, more detailing as well. There's still things wrong though... Feedback much appreciated!
ok here's a little update, I tried chamfering the edges for the FPS view and this was a HUGE mistake. Im getting distortion all over the place. Lot's of n-gons appearing everywhere... still cant get rid of that triangular issue on the slide. Im just gonna photoshop it out.
ok moved nice n fast on this- I used this to test out some workflows for fun ZB4 features like spotlight for his coat texture. He's got some polypaint on him for color separation and AO guess i'll call him done for now-thanks for looking
Not sure why you need a physically based render of a wireframe, hah. If you do the above wireframe method then select 'Render' in the top-left of the Blender UI and select 'OpenGL Render'. You'll get a full shaded render for presentation, use a matcap 'N' and select something. Repeat.
Try google maps satellite/street view and have a look around: http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?q=tokyo%20google%20map&oe=utf-8&rls=org.mozilla:en-GB:official&client=firefox-a&um=1&ie=UTF-8&sa=N&hl=en&tab=wl
awesome. works like a charm. im wondering if you're up for suggestion.. but it would be really neat if you could implement some sort of DOF feature, or maybe rendering a zdepth pass similar to the "GrabDoc" feature in zbrush. makes it nice n easy to composite DOF in photoshop. :D
thanks for all the comments and crits! heres a small update, finally will have time this weekend to crank things out! just addin some props n filling the room up, cant wait to start tweaking the lighting and fine tuning colors. getting sick of making bones lol
Well AZ, I really only got scared by a few the hack n slash I just can't wade thru. King's the Stand gave me nightmares bit time and the other King film Nightflyer did me in. Dwight Reinfield gave me the utter creeps!
Very cool concept. I love the idea of a formal back story for the scene as well. This looks like its going to be extremely fun to light, not to mention model. Im very eager to see how you bring it all together. What engine are you planning on using? -N!
You all laugh, but when this clearly legitimate e-mail proves true.... and the Scarlett Johansen clones come to take over the world... ... ...well, actually, I suppose most guys will welcome that. Carry on. Us females will be working on the (d**n sexy) male actor clones in the meantime. :)
