If sculpting I'd choose zbrush, if painting textures I'd choose 3dcoat. I use 3dcoat at work and zbrush/3dcoat at home, so feel pretty comfortable with both.

I think you need to go to View and choose hardware display materials with maps, or, use the slate editor, right click on your material and choose realistic display (the easier option).
That's easy to solve. Just give the Xoliul or Scripts folder full read/write rights. Folder Properties > Safety > Choose User > edit > Choose User > Tick "Full Access" > Click OK

1. Start -> Run -> "services.msc". 2. Look for "TabletService" (I think, might be called something else for the Bamboo). 3. Right-click on it and choose "Stop". 4. Once it's stopped, right-click on it again and choose "Restart Service".
Two solutions: 1. You can change driver. Costumize - Preferences - Viewports - Choose Driver and choose Nitrous Direct3D 9. Or you can use the second variantion: Turn on "Model Assist" in shading options like on a picture.
