Right, so you just have to keep at it. There's no silver bullet. Just like anything else, it takes time and iteration to get better. How are your drawing skills?
Might try a few different variations of the horn and see what works best - thanks guys! Colours... I'm thinking maybe mostly white/silver with a hint of blue.
Jesse - Not sure yet. A lot of silver to start :) Nheerph - thanks, that first blockout was a bit rough, wasn't it? ANYWAYS, starting on the engine high poly.
Once you have oriented your subtool in 2.5d, when moving it you need to grab the silver-white ring around the translation gizmo in order to maintain its orientation.
It's really great but I find that the textures of the engine stand out as being too bland. I think a silver metal or some colour variation would have been better.
