More like, then you eventually realize that a mashup of cool pictures and nostalgic experiences doesn't magically create good gamedesign. :D Sorry, I just had to be that guy :D
do you want to become a game designer or game artist? while design and art can blend together at times, gamedesign usually has nothing to do with the art side of production.
i havent played it in singleplayer yet, but multiplayer has some of the weirdest gamedesign decisions ever, its super confusing and the controls are nowhere near direct input - for a jump&run this is pretty bad
I am waiting for this one too - allways liked abes universe. Just saw a presentation vid about the gamedesign, the fuzzies are pretty mean in this part?!
QUAKE 3 there is not doubt about it. From a gamedesign perspective its very close to perfection i think. And the art was so much ahead of its time with shaders and shizzlenutz.
I want a gamedesign thread for that kinda discussion so criticism of gameplay mechanics in their retrospective threads dont get chalked up as trolling. Pretty expansive subject though D:
We are still looking for more environment artists and level designers to help Katia our current gamedesigner / level designer. http://www.tendogames.com/jobs/ Thank you and Merry Christmas!
