They took that function out of UDK months ago. Hopefully they implement a new system to go along with Landscape mode in the coming months (Hopefully June)
I have resolved by disabling lightmap function of the light in the middle of the scene (i have left enabled only the light of the emissive and the light on the side).
That window light on the floor a shadow or a light function? Anyway, the middle eastern windows and arches are really sellin' this scene, keep it up, great stuff.
As for the specs of the functional model it totals out to be 22, 353 tris and 11,183 points which is pretty okay(?) since the sculpt from zbrush was past 2 billion quads
If you want equidistant spacing you'll have to scale it a bit . Use the scale X/Y parameters , you can put a function into the sliders to work it out mathematically
If your graphic design skills are weak, don't show them off. As long as it's functional and easy to read, no one cares what your business card looks like.
