Ok first off unless you are using cad program like solidworks, autocad, alias or fusion360 getting the kind of precision you are after will just take forever with traditional 3d tools. Unless you are provided with cad data like most car racing game companies do and you model on top of it after extensive cleaning operation…
@Elithenia yes i agree, those braids still need some tunings at the ends. @Sense42 thanks, the pose is bent coz it feels more relaxy.. i cant stand the stiff poses (stiff feels too robotic :) ) - when the model is ready i will correct the posing for sure. You are doing mostly great...but some crits for your model too: i…
Interesting idea.I dig it. Especially the last one ;) The biggest challenge is making sure it stays fantasy. I don't know THAT much about differentiating between sci fi and fantasy but what I do know is that fantasy is seen, and sci fi is invisible. If an elevator is getting lifted by magic, then the magic is visible. If…
[ame=" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZH0dav-YvyI"]reel wiiippp - YouTube[/ame] removed the silly knight intro/outro stuff due to popular demand :) fairly happy with the animations, gonna go back to the skate grind a bit and give the blood elf jump-attack that eye it's been waiting for..I think. desaturated the background…
From just a general art perspective I would say the saturation is really high on the blue. It looks very "out of the tube" blue... in painter's terms. Maybe tone back the saturation a bit. It also lacks anything that is making it "pop," namely some variations in the blue hue and some more dirt/scratches on the body.…
I know some people are requesting a general background of the level just so they have an idea, so here's our initial synopsis: The map revolves around a Futuristic city whose population has dwindled, with no records of history. The city is surrounded by a huge automated patrolling mech robot and vast concrete plains. To…
Sounds like it could work, but only if creative control is left in the developer's hands as much as possible, otherwise we'll end up with stuff like the iPod scenes in Blade 3 and the Converse sneakers in I, Robot. As long as they can fit adverts into the game without breaking continuity or being blatant about it, we…
Success! I think. Tbh, Seeing that glow come up made me cackle madly. So, adjusting the parameter lets me transition between the first and second textures. I'm gonna need to learn why the second uv channel is necessary, and more curiously, what part the shader plays specifically in the whole thing. It seems the lighter…
@Deadly Nightshade, I'm not trying to be harsh, I just want to give a little advice. It's not nice to label anyone "worse artists" or compare the art skill of two vastly different studios. Even in a passing comment as you did. There are probably people that worked on both Torchlight2 and Diablo3 reading your posts. Show a…
Hello, Are you going for your own stylization of Symmetra, or just recreating her model? If you are just recreating her, she looks very top-heavy. Her legs look like they can't quite support her. Additionally, her hands are so tiny! Her model would also be more impressive if you put more work into the more intricate parts…
