Thanks I will check it out and yeah, It's a bit overkill with the mesh I am using, It has 3 iterations on the chamfer instead of the usual 1. So I asked at work and if I assign the shortcut NOT in main UI as Eric says AND turn on the override toggle it works. I don't know why this is different from max 8 to 9. However a tech artist at work made a script that adds the correct connect edge dialog to Main UI and I can just shortcut to that and it works great…
