The overall design is pretty cool, I really dig the steam powered gloves, and I love Greek Myths, although I think the name you chose was from the Roman version of the brothers, same difference. While the overall design is nice, you've got a lot of problems going on in terms of anatomy. For one you gave him an extra set of…
Very nicely made model, especially from a self-confessed 3d newbie. It's an old-school approach you've taken, but executed well. For animation and rigging : I'd add another loop or two around the forearm. When you twist the wrist, it'll help to stop it collapsing too much. This stuff will make more sense once you start…
I had not a very extensive sculpting training, small sizes mostly during my much younger years. And would say it doesn't overlap digital sculpting a lot IMO. Sculpting in Zbrush is much more brush interaction with always 2d screen image at a time like usual painting than actual sculpting really. Feels very different. Would…

After fiddeling around with the post processing volume I tweaked my shadows, midtones and the height fog in my scene to make everything pop more. After that I also duplicated my rimlight and kind of just toned it down to have a form of…
This object is fairly basic, really just made up of a cube with two cylinders so my approach would be a combination of those techniques you've already tested up too this point. Hence, a hybrid methodology.
Just to pick up the "he looked tired" part. I look tired too cause i have two little kids. No sleep for weeks. And a lot of co workers are in the same boat.
Looks cool! Two things that stand out to me: the planks are a bit too wobbly. I feel they should be way more straight. They also don't seem to have a normal map applied?
I suggest trying the Cavity Map or Height map, if those two fail too, then I would go with Mark and Fletch on a cage, or making a several bakes with raycast and cleaning them up.
Looks great man, like a blend between dragon age and guild wars. My two cents are that the metal feels too glossy for my taste. Have a look at this : http://i.imgur.com/yMGiH.jpg
