Hi Polycount community! I’ve just finished modeling this detailed RTX 5080 GPU using Blender. It’s perfect for product visualization, gaming, and realistic rendering. * Formats: Blender You can grab it here on my CGTrader store:…
Stone trim. 2 top ornaments are temporal -I'm planning to create atlas with various ornaments, so I can use decals to randomize elements like panels, walls in the modular buildings and not limit myself with "built in" to trim 2 variations.
You can save a lot of polygons on the arch. What is the poly count btw? Also, looking at the stone texture base. That should only be a few polys. The flat surface should just be two right angle triangles. Too many polys.
Updated my Lowpoly of Makar from Wind Waker today with a little stone slab to stand on. Still that Sketchfab button doesn't do a thing for me, just a dead clic :( So here is a lame link. https://sketchfab.com/show/a6158766696845899ba0d9656b64becc
If stealing someone else's art got him laid. Then yes; he should be applauded for it and immortalized in stone as a prime example of the male species. That said I'm off to a party. Let Pior know that I'm borrowing his folio and identity for the night...
I assume marble is just like stone, but with a much brighter spec - right now I can hardly tell your spec map is doing much, except for a few edge highlights I see. Maybe post your flats?
Nice work Twocats. My only gripe is in your first 'game version' image the front edge of the stones seems to have a line. Check your normal map in that area it might need a little cleanup. Good first post btw.
Texture layouts are pretty ordinary. Almost everything's uniquely mapped, with a few exceptions for details like jutting stones or posts. I use tiling textures as a base for things like plaster and shingles, then paint a lot of unique details over them.
It looks great. The only thing that's bugging me is that the alignment of the stone blocks in the arch is straight, not curved like I'd expect it to be. Maybe add a few more things to break up the texture tiling too, especially on the road and lower part of the tower.
I think you might want to scale the shingles up a bit along with the stone on the house. I like what you have so far :) The butterflying on the corner of the houses wood support kind of bugs me too. Hope that helps.
