Super happy that Marmoset 3 was released for beta just as I was starting to put everything together. The addition of GI alone is basically what makes this so amazing for this project. We are not aware of a way to do this with Google Slides. For offline viewing, your can use the standalone Marmoset Viewer application to load .mview files from your local hard drive. I would also recommend picking up a box of clay and a simple scoop/cut tool at your local craft store. This helps in figuring out how to apply and remove mass, since the computer abstracts this you are bypassing some of the more basic concepts. It will also give you an enormous appreciation for symmetry mode and edit undo. -

Congrats! I remember going to a local cable company store just to use their internet access in order to post on these very boards :P I think I joined when q3a was out ... The 2004 reset was indeed quite something. Does someone happen to have screenshots of the various interations the forum and home website went through? -

Vassago, You'll be happy to hear that I added support for local/object space normal maps to ShaderFX today (world space normal maps will also work in that mode). The new feature will be available soon along with a ton of other new features - when we announce our upcoming point release. Lots of cool stuff in the works! -

Have you checked the Temp dir to see if Maya wrote a backup during the crash? Its usually in C:\Documents and Settings\(your username)\Local Settings\Temp You could try exporting the scene out as Maya ASCII or OBJ and re-import. I've fixed broken meshes that way, maybe it will work with broken scenes. -

I'm really big on salsa from local places. I've found a place by my condo in LA that I can walk to that has great salsa. I'd say explore some restaurants that make salsa homemade. Definitely better than store bought. It's always different too. Sometimes really hot, sometimes really spicy.
