Hey guys ! I'm currently working on the Artstation challenge. This is my first Artstation challenge and im gonna use a lot of techniques i never used before. But i want to share my process with you guys. I also hope for some and critics to push myself higher and higher to become a better artist :) I try to realize the…
Providing a benchmark asset that meets all your expectations for reference/comparison might help. As you already wrote, I imagine getting together after certain steps and discussing the progress would help to keep in sync and allow for adjustments. Steps could be something like blockout/pose/proportions (something to…
Blender works well for environment assets in my experience: Stable, divers toolset for blockouts, pbr preview and modifier stack. I use an addon for batch exporting. It's true that the performance dips when scenes get heavy. In that case splitting scenes and using file linking often helps. Didn't create skeletal meshes for…
I haven't been updating for a bit, because I've been working on the Travel Challenge for Sketchfab :) . Here are some of my updates. Blockout: Sculpting! Initial Painting! It's due by the end of the month, so I'll keep working on that. Also I had some fun experimenting with materials today. They're inspired by Overwatch :)…

As always would love to hear you guys have fun and…

Taking a break from this, but maybe I'll come back to it as I learn more of the different tools in the 3D pipeline. And my first attempt at both a…
Here you go http://www.polycount.com/forum/showthread.php?t=121332 Just go into you profile and look at the threads you have made. Nice start you have on this, I think the cloth around the shoulder needs to be puffed up more to match the reference. Would be nice to see the face without the blockout classes, since you will…
Doing some blockouts of creatures, one can be an alien form and the other seems to be some kind of vampire. I do these pretty quick to practice doing basic anatomy really quick and get that "into my system". I tend to go to quick into high polys and start detailing before things are really set, and go crazy with smoothing.…
Some early work on a large container ship for Depth Game I'll be doing a walkthrough on how this was produced when its finished. Quite a monster. Here are some WIP Posts that were posted around showing some of the early blockout work.. http://www.polycount.com/forum/showpost.php?p=1358241&postcount=19…
Okay, It is time to show you all what I have been working on lately. I am working on creating a 3D Scene of Ancillary Justice by Ann Leckie. For my 3D Scene I am going to interpret the Nilt Tavern from concept to 3D. Here is what I got so far: The Concept: Nilt Tavern Interior of basic primitives to show blockout.
