i think you'll find i helped the most! :D looks pretty good, but definitely too... boxy. need some nicer swooping curves instead of all the straight lines, then it'll look more sci-fi
model This art came from an assignment to do something sci-fi and so I've decided to do something interest and fun and fairly simple with all the hassle of creating a low and high poly map for it and keep it under a certain number of polys
So I just watched this tonight, hadn't seen any trailers or heard that much about it, but I enjoyed it a lot. For me it was one of the better sci fi flicks in last few years. Anyone else had a chance to see it yet?
For my sci-fi dude I was sitting at 2,179,923 faces in Maya2015/VP2 and everything was buttery smooth. Actually I just opened it up right now. Without texture maps applied, I'm running at 200fps.
It'll be interesting to see how this game turns out, from the interviews it looks like a very ambitious open world sci fi bounty hunter action RPG...if this trailer is any indication, this could be an instant classic!
Love your prop work, has a nice retro alien isolation type vibe, everything practical and useful. I guess try not to get buried in the sci-fi corridor. Good luck, keep her goin!
I feel like it works a bit better on MP9 and it could be hard to tell how it is exactly 70s/80s sci-fi themed, but I like the idea and execution a lot, MP9 already faved on workshop. :D
^ ouw yeaaaaaah love blood red skies! everytime i listen judas priest , i don't imagine elf and orcs but I imagine deus ex and blade runner. great music for sci fi mood
This is the next piece I’m going to try and create in Substance Designer. Weathered Wood Shingle Siding. WIP. Based off of another pic in Portland. Most likely will be working on the star wars/sci-fi prop after this.
