I like the dog and bone details on your ship, Evolvyn! I'm new here and still getting used to 3d modeling and painting digitally, but hopefully that's alright. Here's my sketch, blockout, and paint-over so far:
doesn't seem like the redeem button for me is working for some reason QQ edit: nvm, got it to work after holding onto the space button adding another few digits, erasing everything and then pasting the code back in.
Thanks noniol! Here's some rocks I did in Artrage. I was trying to decide if I wanted to paint something traditionally or digitally. I used Greg Manchess' work as reference because I love his brushwork.
Yeah - Mischief just blew my mind. I love the simplicity of it, and the fact that it removes a whole bunch of technicalities from the digital painting process. No more resolution to pick, files to upres, or laggy brushes. I am sold.
The art and tech behind is from outer space. I have no idea how they animate such massive data. https://www.artofvfx.com/alita-battle-angel-eric-saindon-vfx-supervisor-mike-cozens-animation-supervisor-weta-digital/
This is relevant to the situation...if it goes through, it seems it will have an impact on outsourcing that deals with digital media http://pando.com/2014/02/25/revenge-of-the-nerds-how-tech-geeks-found-a-secret-weapon-in-their-fight-against-big-hollywood/
Ah, I wouldn't know about the masters. I heard that their masters was basically supposed to be 4 Dare to be Digitals in a year, i.e. you work in a team to create 4 working prototypes. Not sure if it was 4, but I'm pretty sure it was.
@Digital Cantina: Thank you! I'm planning to change the sleeves. It's kinda "off" @SCB: Yeah, when I finish blocking all the equipment I'll go back and tweak her shapes. Thank you! Small update:
Alice, w u no liek steam? :( Honestly I'm a bit timid owning a digital copy (or even a physical copy) unless it's on steam. Is that so wrong? Seriously want to buy this. Just... deciding how I want to buy this.
Thanks man, im getting down the grindstone over here on my portfolio, I kust need an environment thats condusive to creativity so I can learn and work. Though apparently digital artwork is "screwing around"...
