Hi guys, Im new to polycount and hard surface modelling. Im having this weird streak when I smooth my model, any suggestions on what im doing wrong?? http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/189/streak.png/ wireframe http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/510/streak2.png/
I also began applying new layers of polypaint to the dark skin, working to keep it slightly more colorful and visible. pictured here is the body with a few new layers of poly paint applied. "colored") "colored2") "colored3") i went with some new aplahs on this one, primarily veins and cracks available on pixologic's…
Hey man, just a few thoughts: I was surprised you started modeling on a perspective image. Seems pretty useless if it's not an ortho. I would just not create an image plane at all, and mess around for a few minutes with primitives/superbasic modeling to get the proportions right. It's important to train your eye and sense…
Felixenfeu Thank you! Oh yeah, the tricks they do are really amazing. :,) Vrav I LOVE the ac shadows since the first one. I have no idea how they do these great stuff. But interesting note: at least in part 1 & 2 the didn't had shadows in the indoor rooms - but it wasn't a big issue. Looked stunning anwayway and there were…
he isn't selecting polygons. Just zoomed in close and has the wireframe turned on. Honestly I could explain how the thing works but it would be overly confusing. Use it for five minutes and you'll see, it's intuitive. Works just like real life counterpart.
God damn beautifull! Can you share with us a wireframe and close-up of the pirate ship? What is your workflow on texturing it? Did you use tileable materials for the wood on the pirate ship or did you do a highpoly sculpt?
Man, this is gold for 3d modeler, especially I who haved hard time with realtime hair. Nice stuff! Could you post your realtime hair head with wireframe on it? I still have difficult with the short parts and so on..
Really could use some better renders to really see whats going on, and maybe some wireframes. I would also suggest getting a photobucket account their free and you can hotlink images from photobucket to the forums with the tags.
On your Rolleiflex, you seem to have something odd going on on the left side by the top knob. The wireframe shows a triangle fan in the same area. The materials on your Chrono Hunter look more like plastic than a specific material.
I think I have all the modeling done now. I´m going to finish this project tomorrow because I´m going to be afk for a while. Here is the wireframe shots. Tris count is about 110k for the whole scene.
