@Nuclear Angel thats a really good shout I am readjusting the legs right now anyway in order to get better edge loops around the leg muscles for animation. So will change that up, thanks for the feedback!
why does it need to be perfectly symmetrical? you can flip or merge UV shells even if some faces don't mirror on booth sides, in that case you only flip and merge the faces of the other half that match.
Stronger design for sure but there are still few things that bug me like her right leg is missing kneecap, same leg foot is too forward and too wavy , left hand fingers are looking like tentacles
If you're going for the chibi look of the model, the legs should be thicker, and the feet the barest hint of bumps at the bottom of the legs. You might want to take a look at this simple drawing tutorial, http://www.polykarbon.com/tutorials/chibi/chibiart.htm.
I never merged the mesh in Zbrush I merged it in Max. I tried exporting it without GoZ. I swear I remember posing my character like this before but now the textures aren't showing up.
Also, the legs don't extend forward enough on the down-step. Walking is merely a series of controlled falls. If you don't capture that, your walk looks phony and unnatural. The forward leg never straightens in anticipation of the landing.
Without her left (right to us) leg out further to support her weight, it looks like she's about to just flop over on her face. Very strange looking pose with the alignment of the legs and hips.
proportions look ok, the knee is a bit high. the posing is off balance, and the legs lack form and definition. study some medical images of leg musculature, and sculpt for that, then smooth were skin would smooth. gl! -Woog
The merge actors tool could work I think. I'm not sure if its good enough though, I haven't actually tried it. I just saw it can merge materials. This is under window / developer tools.
Good stuff, I love Penny Arcade! Sectaurs already said it, but the back leg looks a little weak on the jump animation. Maybe the knee needs to come up higher so that it matches his other leg?
