As divi said, the refresh button on nDo2 needs to be pressed at the start of each project before any 3DO visualization. -

in max you have the bevel button, use it on the polygon doing many iterations, while changing the amount of bevel :) -

Right above the "Edit UV" button is a small Tools▼ drop down. In there is "Smoothing groups from UV Shells" -

The same way you did before. Go to the TF2 website and click the button that says "Make Items for TF2." -
