How would one go about starting to make armor/clothes/accessories for the base sculpt (subtool in Zbrush)? I've asked before on my thread, but it seems like people are hitting this a lot more.
Wow, you both did awesome stuff! :D And I also really like the paintover that Amaury did! Maybe his shoulder armor could be darker and his head a little bit brighter..
Dropped the redness, maybe still too red?..idk looks a bit sickly at the moment.. Armor material is just a quick bash in ddo atm. Trying to get the skin and fur shells looking nice.
Been working today in the back of an Omniknight Set I'm planning to make, this is the idea I've been working on, not 100% sure with it, any C&C it's greatly appreciated ^^. Black lined parts will be plate armor.
I mean the shapee that guitar could make a kind of cool sillouhette for an axe, and as far as you only get inspired by the costumes and make them more... metally and armor-ish this could work out...
Hey guys ! my tutorial has finally been released on zbrushworkshop : http://www.zbrushworkshops.com/course/armor-creation-in-zbrush#.UoRH0_mshcY Also, I did some new clay renders, still in Lagoa :
Also if your interested in characters check out UMA http://forum.unity3d.com/threads/219175-UMA-Unity-Multipurpose-Avatar-on-the-Asset-Store! I think someone released an armor pack that uses this system.
Nice backstory. Maybe you could push the concept a little bit more and it would be even more badass. Like maybe make the armor/enslaving metal parts more functional. ~ All the best!
Nice design, the one thing I'd change is to close that gap up where jaw portion of the armor meets the head. That gap is huge enough where an arrow could fly right in and kill the Knight.
I agree with Mlk2121, an occlusion pass would definitely help. Also maybe more dirt on the undercarriage and tracks. It seems odd that there's only dirt on the front armor and none anywhere else. Good work.
