Thanks guys! I agree with you regarding the hand, I will see what I can do with it. If you have any reference on "funny" hands, please post :-) I've done a quick drawing my self, I'm not that good with hand-drawing, so bear with me :-D
this, dont try and do a million things. focus on a few good pieces, and make them look as good as you can. Also dont neglect traditional art, get some good drawings in there, and if drawing isn't your strong point, make sure you practice it even harder
For portraits this book rocks my sock [ame=http://www.amazon.com/Artists-Complete-Guide-Drawing-Head/dp/0823003590/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1243332075&sr=1-1] The Artist's Complete Guide to Drawing the Head[/ame] by William L. Maughan
Near as I can tell there's a communal drawing program or website that everyone has jumped onto. The idea, if I'm following it all correctly, is to hop in with another member of the board and start drawing something. Each person gets a side of the canvas, or whatever rules they want to set up really.
You are a master of skin dude. Also cool to see you start drawing, I recently started to focus on some drawing too :) One question, the detail on the lips always looks amazing but I don't really see it in the sculpts. Is that all done with textures or is it just not clear in the sculpts because of sss or something?
I'll second the suggestion of learning how the weapons work. Also, you shouldn't focus exclusively on weapons when learning. Learn to draw, then worry about drawing weapons. As was mentioned above, Ctrl+Paint is a great (and free!) place to start. They're fairly short videos with a 'homework' assignment to get some…
I sometimes have drawings dream where I just see my hand holding a pencil and draw... it's like an FPD dream. oh ye, and i have a lot of doom-like FPS dreams... those tend to be really creepy. I wake up exhausted from all the (shift) running
I don't think there's a way to designate colors to polygroups, but you can adjust the amount of color fill that happens. Preferences > Draw > PFill. Reducing PFill to 0 will display just the wireframe (but will still chug a bit compared to working with polyframes off). There are also opacity and wireframe color settings in…
Haha i had to google to find out who that was but darn that's a funny coincidence haha. No i was doing Speed sculpting a cartoon head on Digital Tutor. It follows a concept drawing from Dean Yeagle. Think i kept it in the "spirit" of the drawing but it's not exactly as the concept. Hell first time ever not to bad right.
Hi guys, so I did a litle bit of drawings, its a quick sketches (I know it sucks, but I am working on improving my drawing skills), so i think of maybe doing a mele-fighter girl, with something like plate armour or something like it. Your comments please =)
