Looking forward to it. Every time i want to texture anything stone/rock related, i go to quixel, since in painter i have a really hard time making those sort of materials believable.
I get a similar error message when I used the mossy stone smart material and then rerender my canvas to full size. Seems to only happen when its trying to rerender the mossy layers.
things to steer clear of: - old damaged pillar - stone fountain - fire hydrant - hand-painted sword - sci fi hallway (debatable) - M4 Assault Rifle (debatable) - ? (tongue placed in cheek-pocket here)
Gave it another try and it seemed to work, I just went for a more stone look though instead, looks slightly odd though and I don't know why... I prefer it over the first definately.
Hey guys. Been quite busy these last few days with non-game related stuff. Just started working on this stones/rubble texture to be painted on the floor along with dust and scraps of paper etc. Thanks!
yeah.. i am working on it. I wanna see how the texture does its job and then go from there. thought about floating shard around the top of the staff but, well nothing set in stone yet
I think you could vary the roughness of the corner pieces more. And I'm not sure if you were going for it or not, but the shutters to the big 3-window arch look like stone rather than wood or metal.
Thanks ,but I cant see it work for a piece like this, but thats probable because I'm to blind to see it :p Also did the stone tile's the floor sits on.. Nothing major but meh, wanted to post something
Hooray I finished the environment! What do people think? This environment is all about contrast. The contrast in new and old technology and that of industrial architecture from the organic wood and stone to harsh alien metal and brick.
Looks real nice, though the stones all appear perfectly polished clean and synthetic. Dirt in cracks (AO style), moss, etc. Some dirty decals to melt everything together would be nice too.
