Hey man can we see some reference, wires, texture maps, UV layouts. All the fun stuff. Just to get a better idea of the thing as an entire piece. Cheers :)
@Fuse - I really like simpleness and the layout of your website, I am just wondering how did you build gallery like that, or what program you have to use?
For all the lurkers, if there's not much to say about the models, feedback on the website layout if anything needs improvement would also be much appreciated before I start applying for jobs again soon :)
That railing and step colour is looking a bit to orangey at the moment, looks odd in that place imo. Liking the layout, I agree with others by saying that good lights could make or break this piece.
Looks like there's a lot of texture stretching going on, you might give some more thought to your UV layout. Also the texture on the streetlight is very confusing, not sure what it's supposed to be.
OK, what about this scenario, because of your UV layout you have a UV separation on a soft edge, do you keep it soft or put it in two different smoothing groups?
Here's a general overview of where this is all going. Made a layout of all the major landmarks in maya and threw it into Marmoset for a preview. the second shot is to see if the "verticality" I had in mind works \\
