I would use vertex painting for this. Avoids the need for a second UV, and another texture for the mask. Plus it can be unique per building, without adding a new mask texture for each building. I haven’t used Unity in a while, but it comes with a shader editor I think. There have to be a lot of tutorials out there for how…
Witcher 4 teaser looking pretty schweet. The prerendered unannouced graphics card seems to be fueling the 50 series speculation online aswell. Hopefully, if it is, it doesn't cost a kidney.
cturbo about duplicating details it's up to you. For a car it's perfectly ok to have only one wheel in UV . Be careful with mirroring . Better to be done on mesh level using special Mirror /symmetry or whatever. Mirror modifier in Blender e.g . Doing it on object level which often is just negative scaling may cause issues…

think i'm almost there now.... the horror show top left can be made to work in a "sensible" way. there was some soul searching on whether a spline intersecting 2 other splines though wholly contained within them is considered a hole of the 2 combined..... i thought yes.... but resolving that was a mind ****! It's always…

I've made 2 finished portfolio pieces so far (that are far, far far from perfect) but even in their…
I'd love to see an update as well, but I agree that the current version for Max is already great and understand there might not be a lot of demand. You can group islands in the UV editor or do name selection sets on a per face basis for editable poly or mesh objects, but both are fairly fleeting. Another more permanent…

I have been working on a portfolio piece for a while now, but I'm not really satisfied with the progress, Somewhere along the way, I feel I’ve lost direction. I’d deeply appreciate honest and constructive feedback—no sugar-coating, please! Issues I'm aware of * Environment feels underpopulated; lacking enough props and…
