Very, very blurry. That's my main impression. Which is confusing since your textures are pretty nice and sharp. Right now it looks like you done tiny, tiny renders and blown them up in size. Presentation that hurts your work, no lightning, many tiny images with a few of them having no focus at all on the models themselves…
Game looks fun, congrats on the upcoming release :) As a side note, you may want to consider trying to get your game on some other stores besides just Steam (such as GOG and the new Epic Games Store) for increased exposure. Releasing exclusively on Steam is generally a bad idea these days due to the amount of competition…
We're in a ridiculous situation here in the UK. Even though it's a Steamworks game, we can neither buy it or even play the demo on Steam (without an obscure workaround) because the retail chain "Game" has flatly refused to stock it in any format if UK punters can buy it on Steam. Dick move Game, dick move.
Last time I ran it (at home through steam), it was as simple as right click on Nexuiz in the Library, and one of the options is launch Editor or something like that. Otherwise in your Steam/steamapps/common/Nexuiz/bin32/editor.exe or whereever you installed it. Helpful to copy the shortcut to your desktop so you don't have…
Really? We already know that they're working on it? I haven't heard anything. Petition on the steam tf2 forums to switch back to EARNED achievements: http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=871779 Steam group: http://steamcommunity.com/groups/giveustf2back?action=join This is the only game I play and they…
I found loop node recently as a replacement for slope blur with unlimited number of sampling for things like that. it might get quite slow although. For "disorder" you can just set different seed slider for initial blobs in tile sampler node or different seed in displacing noise. You can also use random darker tints in…
Steam eh? I'm scared to try blender although there are a lot of people here who use it.. like gimp is an answer to photoshop. Nothing against gimp but I work so much better on ps. I guess I'll try to go blender first then maybe check steam. Thanks praetus.
Hmm. Whatever you decide, keep an eye out for sales!! I managed to snag a Deathadder with a $50 steam gift card included. I kinda view it as I'll spend $50 on steam at some point in the next few months, so more or less a $20 mouse instead of $70 :D
Looks like it was Jeri Ellsworth; she was working on the Steam Box controllers. I have no idea why they let her go though... Makes you wonder. Link to article: http://www.theverge.com/2013/2/13/3983348/valve-fires-jeri-ellsworth-who-was-developing-steam-box-game
heh yeah, I think probably everyone here has at least heard of Magic. It's funny, I was just playing Magic2013 on Steam, and then checked polycount and saw this thread. If you like Magic, you should definitely check out the one on Steam. It's on sale now too. Real fun game.
