What do you mean "they forced it to alter its DNA"... that's not true, they discovered a life-form that has a unique buildup of its DNA, they only tested it by placing it in a medium with arsinic and other nutrients (except phosphorus). Not really sure what your getting at here...
So for this update, I applied most of the crits that Endcar has given except for the back arm mainly because as though it would be more of an appealing flow of movement, it wouldn't agree with the motion of the axe swing which is a major part of the comp. Thanks again Endcar!
Except you have no contract, no proof that you did one thing or he did another. Again this is why you work with contracts, so that you have a legally binding agreement to fall back on. You can find templates for contracts on the internet for free.
I'd maybe look at your lighting again. The final presentation shot is extremely dark and it's hard to make out anything except that small lit area. Maybe increase the light bounce in the scene a little or have another source coming in from somewhere else?
Your metal looks really bland and overly dark, with the exception of the parts at the tip of the gun. Brighten it and add some (non-noisy) texture. The wood is also too saturated and bright, and needs some dark wear around the edges where it meets other materials.
I get a PHP error on line 42 of your my gallery class. Also you should really turn of the PHP debuging on a production environment, since it isn't very secure to let The public see detailed exceptions like I just did.
thanks Kolby. I saw they updated Xee - my internet at home, where my mac is, is down so I cannot check - but did they add proper up/down scaling in this release? I liked Xee except for the awful bilinear image scaling...
all the mods I worked on usually turned out to be a bunch of people independently working on assets - usually we had a private forum so it was like pimping & previews except we were all working on the same project - typically had little to no feedback.
Maybe I'm remembering wrong or mixing something up, but I think I saw an article a few days ago, saying that Epic will stop allowing real life weapons to be uploaded to the marketplace, except the ones that are already there. Maybe someone else can confirm this.
Loving the feedbacks, keep 'em coming. Updates: 1. Brightened the roughness on the pipes except for the burned part 2. Brightened the spec on the can at the end to look like aluminium 3. Changed the color on the hand grip and spec to look like rubber instead of cloth
